The M-30-1E40 is a specialty Accu-Flo radial nozzle featuring a .016 orifice with a 40-tube configuration, producing consistently uniform droplets in the 500–700 micron range. It shares the same orifice size as the M-30-1E but with a lower tube count, providing reduced flow capacity suited to specialty applications that require fine droplets at lower output rates. Like all Accu-Flo nozzles, it is designed for helicopter use at speeds of 70 mph and below.

The Accu-Flo Radial Nozzle uses smooth-bore stainless steel needles manufactured to very tight ID tolerances, producing consistently uniform droplet sizes through surface tension. The streamlined design incorporates an internal check valve that helps prevent wind disturbance around the droplet emission point, which could otherwise shatter droplets into smaller, more drift-prone sizes. The nozzle is durable under normal use conditions and impervious to all commonly used chemical formulations.

The M-30-1E40 attaches using the M-30 Assembly for boom mounting, or the 8360-ADP or 2CV Assembly for TeeJet mounting.
