CP Aerial Nozzles

CP Aerial Nozzles

Get the Drop to the Crop!

Designed in 1991 by agricultural pilot G.O. “Chris” Christopher, CP Aerial Nozzles were created to eliminate the need for carrying multiple nozzle tips to adjust flow rates and droplet sizes. The result was the original yellow nozzle, a multi-orifice, multi-plane deflector nozzle that provides multiple application options in a single unit.

For more than 30 years, CP nozzles have been trusted by aerial applicators for their flexibility, ease of adjustment, and proven performance. Independently tested and included in USDA droplet spectrum models, they remain an industry-standard solution for managing flow rates and droplet spectra in the field

How Standard CPs Work

CP nozzles are engineered with a multi-orifice selector and multi-plane deflector, allowing applicators to independently adjust flow rate and droplet spectrum from a single nozzle body.

Flow rate is determined by the selected orifice size, while droplet size is controlled by the deflector angle. As the deflection angle increases, the resulting droplet spectrum becomes finer. This design provides applicators with the flexibility to quickly adapt to changing application requirements without changing nozzle assemblies.

How CP-11TT's Work

The CP-11TT utilizes a unique approach to droplet size management by combining tip angle and nozzle orientation in the airstream. Available in straight-stream and various flat-fan tip angles, the CP-11TT allows applicators to tailor spray characteristics to specific application requirements. By adjusting both the tip configuration and the nozzle’s position in the airstream, operators can influence the droplet spectrum while maintaining the desired flow rate.

This flexible design provides aerial applicators with additional control over spray performance, enabling quick field adjustments to meet changing application conditions and objectives

Meet the New CP Nozzle App – Faster. Smarter. All in One Place.

Take the guesswork out of nozzle selection with our enhanced CP Nozzle App. This powerful upgrade to our Legacy Calculator combines CP nozzle calculations with built-in USDA testing data, so there’s no need to switch between websites.

Save your nozzle configurations for quick access anytime, and manage your account easily through the web or Google Play. (Apple users can create an account online and access all saved data through the web version while the iOS app is in development.)

Streamline your workflow and get the data you need; when and where you need it.

Check Valves

CP Check Valves are available in stainless steel (CP-02) and glass-filled polypropylene (CP-04) with ⅛” threaded female inlets and outlets. Using a patented needle/seat design, they provide instant shut-off; the stainless needle seats into an O-Ring in a stainless core. A Teflon diaphragm on the needle protects a Viton diaphragm.

Flow capacity is 5.2 gpm at 40 psi. Springs will begin to open at approximately 12 psi. For the entire check valve to open, it is recommended that a minimum of 30 psi be applied.
