The CP-09-3P is a straight stream aerial nozzle designed for aircraft speeds of 140 mph and above, though it also performs excellently at 130 mph. It features a poly body (CPA203-B) and poly 3-way deflector paired with a stainless steel selector plate, making it the most cost-effective option in the 09 straight stream line while still delivering reliable performance across a wide range of agricultural and forestry applications. Like all straight stream nozzles in the CP lineup, it can produce droplet spectrums from very coarse to fine depending on deflection angle.
The nozzle features a stainless steel four-orifice selector plate with sizes of .062, .078, .125, and .172, with shut-off, and a built-in 9° angle in the body. The poly 3-way deflector offers straight stream deflection planes of 0°, 5°, and 30°, allowing operators to dial in droplet spectrum from very coarse at 0° down to finer spectrums at 30°. Flow rates use the poly body (CPA203-B) chart, ranging from 0.48 to 5.30 GPM at 30–60 psi depending on orifice and pressure.
The CP-09-3P is particularly well suited for fast fixed-wing aircraft doing low application rates of 2 GPA or less where flat fan nozzles are less effective. For operators who want the proven 09 straight stream performance at the lowest cost in the line, the all-poly deflector version is the practical choice. All nozzle parts are replaceable for long service life. Use the CP Quick Calc or the Aerial Nozzle Flowrates Reference to find the optimal orifice and pressure setting for your target GPA.
